CHEF Opens “Giving Tuesday 2018”
Matching Grant Program to
TVNPA Member Organizations

Current TVNPA Membership is required to be eligible for consideration by CHEF.Membership status will be confirmed by CHEF during their committee review process.
However, if your your organization is not yet enrolled as a TVNPA Member, you will still be able to apply for CHEF’s matching grant during the open application window while also enrolling in TVNPA’s Membership Program.
Becoming a TVNPA Member opens up a world of possibilities: from funding opportunities to communities of practice exploring industry trends and solutions to challenges, to participating in TVNPA’s dynamic and growing community centered around nonprofit work, philanthropy and volunteerism.

How CHEF’s Giving Tuesday Matching Grant Works:
CHEF’s Giving Tuesday 2018 Matching Grant Program will award three separate $5,000 matching grants each to nonprofit organizations who are also current TVNPA Members.
CHEF will match $1 for every $2 donated through Giving Tuesday’s fundraiser to 3 separate organizations who: meet eligibility requirements, apply for the grant through CHEF’s online form, and are subsequently chosen by CHEF’s grant committee.

All applicants and their stories will be placed on a ballot for our community members to review and to vote on.
Three organizations will be selected and notified on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018.
Similar to CHEF’s Matching Program
, the selected organizations will be placed on CHEF’s website for Giving Tuesday, November 27, 2018. CHEF will match $1 for every $2 donated in support of the organization. Donations will be capped at $10,000 per organization, where CHEF will match up to $5,000.
Donors will automatically receive a confirmation email
and receipt for tax-deductible donations.
Matching grant checks for each organization will be processed and mailed by:

Checks will be accompanied by an itemized donation list.
The mission of the Community Health and Education Foundation is to serve the Tri-Valley Region of the San Francisco Bay Area by providing resources and opportunities for local non-profits to foster a community of giving.
CHEF is a small, local non-profit serving the Tri-Valley Region of the San Francisco Bay Area. They provide resources and opportunities for local non-profits to foster a community of giving. Their values are to improve the health and education services in the Tri-Valley community through collaboration with organizations that:
- Support Tri-Valley youth
- Care and advocate for the under-served members of our community
- Pursue the humane treatment of animals
In order to encourage an increase in serving and giving in our community, CHEF launched its Matching Program, matching 1 dollar for every 2 dollars donated in support of non-profits who serve the Tri-Valley Region. The goal of this program is to generate approximately $60,000 of monthly giving in our community.
