      Gary Patton served as one of Ballistic United Soccer Club's first key volunteers and was one of the founders. He also worked as the director of recreation with Pleasanton back in the 1960s.

      Gary was instrumental in securing and handling the negotiation between the city and the government over the land that became the Pleasanton Sports Complex — which has been considered one of the top youth sports facilities in Northern California.

      Patton was inducted into the Ballistic United Soccer Clubs's Hall of Fame in 2012.
