      Below are some of the frequently asked questions regarding the Intro to Safety process.

      How long does it take to complete the course?

      The e-learning module will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

      Is it the same thing as SafeSport?
      • This is different from SafeSport which covers sexual harassment in youth sports. Intro to Safety covers things such as what to do in the event of an earthquake, storm, fire, and other life-threatening emergency situations that could arise while coaching/managing your team.
      Is there a certificate for it like SafeSport?
      • Intro to Safety does not have a certificate.* Instead, please take a screenshot from the course that shows your successful completion. It NEEDS to show YOUR NAME, TITLE OF COURSE, AND COMPLETION STATUS. It should look similar to the image below.  

      Does it cost money?

      This is a completely free course that is provided by USSF to ensure the safety of children participating in recreational and competitive soccer nationwide.
