Cal North Announce Technical Advisory Group for Cal North Olympic Development Program

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Cal North is excited to introduce the newly established Technical Advisory Group (TAG) for the Olympic Development Program (ODP). This group has been formed to provide guidance, recommendations, proposals, and collaboration to help reimagine and elevate the ODP program.

Purpose and Objectives

The ODP Technical Advisory Group (TAG) is an ad hoc committee dedicated to enhancing the structure and execution of Cal North ODP. Their primary objectives include:

  • Contribute to establishing technical staffing standards, for recruiting and selecting ODP Coaching Staff. 
  • Conduct an annual Review to assess Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Contribute to supporting an annual Technical Plan that aligns with the Strategic Vision for the Program.
  • Conduct an Annual Program Review to ensure continued compliance with the U.S. Soccer Talent Development Program - Olympic Development Program (ODP Certification).

Meetings and Responsibilities

The ODP TAG will convene as frequently as necessary to fulfill its objectives, with meetings held either in person or virtually as necessary. This group is responsible for setting measurable goals, establishing timelines for completion, and submitting written objectives annually to the Executive Director. Their collaborative efforts will ensure that the ODP program continues to provide top-tier player development opportunities aligned with U.S. Soccer’s standards.
