PREVIEW: Six Clubs to Represent Cal North at the 2024 US Youth Soccer Far West Presidents Cup

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (June 13, 2024) - Six clubs and seven teams will be representing Cal North at the 2024 US Youth Soccer Far West Presidents Cup from June 14th thru June 18th.

The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup is designed for those teams seeking additional challenges to play against teams of similar abilities for a national title. The Presidents Cup provides a progressive, competitive experience to teams that might not otherwise get the opportunity to participate in a series of unique experiences highlighting competition, camaraderie and community from the state to regional to national levels of US Youth Soccer.

The following teams are the Cal North representatives at the 2024 US Youth Soccer Far West Presidents Cup:

Ceres Earthquakes 10B (U14B)
Visalia United FC 09G (U15G)
Ravenswood Youth Soccer Club - Manchester City 09/08B (U16B)
Silicon Valley Eagles 07B PSG I (U17B)
Contra Costa YSL Pittsburg Cobras (U18/19B)

First-time participants at regionals, Manteca Area Rangers United 10G, have been making strong strides in their league play, moving up the ranks. They also competed and won the 2024 Cal North State Cup this spring. 

"This team has worked their way from Bronze to making their debut in Premier in the Spring," said Marcus Miller, Manteca Area Rangers United 10G Gold Head Coach. The team has lived and died by this motto this season: "Hard work and dedication pays off" and "Never give in, always strive to be better, leave it all on the field," winning the Gold season in the Fall 2023 and making their debut in Premier. We're very excited to provide this experience to our players," he added.

Another team that will be making their debut at the regional stage is the Ceres Earthquakes Boys 2010. 

"Reaching a regional tournament and having the opportunity to represent our small city of Ceres and CYSO league fills us with immense pride," said Alfredo Campos, Head Coach for Ceres Earthquakes Boys 2010. "Every ounce of effort we've poured into this journey has been worth it, and we aim to make Ceres proud," he added.
