SACRAMENTO, Calif. ― Cal North is honored to announce Shirley Thompson as the 2024 Cal North Hall of Fame Inductee. The Cal North Hall of Fame honors those individuals who have made outstanding contributions to youth soccer as player, coach, referee, administrator or other youth soccer-related activities by worthy participants throughout the years. These individuals have shaped & impacted soccer in Northern California.
Shirley Thompson's legacy will be recognized on Saturday, August 31st as Cal North commemorates it's second-consecutive Hall of Fame Night at PayPal Park.
The San Jose Earthquakes will be welcoming Minnesota United FC.
The Thompson family will be receiving the award on behalf of Shirley, who passed away on Dec. 16, 2022.
