Three Cal North teams moving on to semifinals at 2024 US Youth Soccer Far West Presidents Cup & U12 Regional Event

      SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (June 17, 2024) - Three Cal North teams will be playing in the semifinals today at the 2024 US Youth Soccer Far West Presidents Cup and Far West Regional Championships U12 Event. 

      Lamorinda SC United 2012 Pre-GA and JASA RWC Jrs 2012B are both moving on to the Far West Regional Championships U12 Event semifinals. Lamorinda started the tournament with a 2-2 result against Eastside Timbers (Oregon), followed by two dominating wins of 5-0 and 7-2 over Eastside FC (Washington) and Titans FC Inland Empire G2012 (Cal South) respectively.

      Lamorinda will be taking on Real Colorado 2012 Girls National from Colorado, a team that finished at the top of Bracket A with 4 wins and 41 goals scored. This Real Colorado team has yet to concede a goal this tournament. 

      On the Boys side, JASA RWC Jrs. 2012B went undefeated in group stage scoring a total of 26 goals while conceding 6 across three games. Keahi Soccer Club U12B (Hawai'i), Cook Inlet Soccer Club 2012 Boys Elite (Alaska) and CASA FC Inter 2012 Boys (Colorado) were the group stage opponents. 

      JASA RWC Jrs. 2012B will be squaring off against Idaho Rush Soccer Club 2012 Blue (Idaho), a team that finished top of Bracket B with 3 wins, scoring 12 goals and allowing 4. 

      Playing in the 2024 Far West Presidents Cup semifinals is the Silicon Valley Eagles 07B PSG I at the U17 Boys division. This SV Eagles team finished in second place of Bracket A, qualifying as a wildcard to the semis. Teams in this bracket had four games, with Eagles dropping their only game against group winners Sawtooth Premier Soccer Club FC INTERNACIONAL from Idaho. Silicon Valley went on to win their first, third and fourth games against Northshore Select Club NSC B07A (Washington) , Boulder County United 07 Boys Academy Gold (Colorado) and FC Piamonte Cosmos (Oregon). 

      They will be taking on Strikers FC B2007 T1 from Montana, a team that won Bracket C and qualifying with 7 points. Strikers have scored 12 goals and conceded 5 so far, with their only draw coming against Phoenix United Futbol Club 2007 Elite from Arizona.

      Cal North CCSL 

      The Cal North Competitive Soccer League (CCSL) is Cal North’s premier league for youth competitive soccer. For over 50 years, the CCSL has been Northern California’s top level of competition in youth soccer. The league is for all of Cal North’s affiliated clubs and includes teams from U8 to U19 age groups.

      CCSL registration is now open for the 2024-2025 seasonal year.
