Event Guide: Your complete guide to the 2024-2025 Cal North State Cup in Danville, CA

      DANVILLE, Calif.  - Cal North is beyond excited to be hosting the 2024-2025 Cal North State Cup for U9-U12 age groups on December 14-15 at the Mustang Soccer Complex in Danville, California. 

      Event Details
      Cal North State Cup is the designated state-level qualifier for the US Youth Soccer Far West Regional Championships. U12 State Cup Champions will advance to Regionals which will take place in early summer. There is no regional competition for U9-U11 State Cup Champions. All Cal North Districts, with the exception of District 6 and District 9, will be represented this weekend by teams from all over Northern California.       Check-in Procedures
      Teams will be required to bring 2 copies of their official Cal North State Cup roster as well as their approved Cal North player passes to check-in.

      Check-in will take place 30 minutes prior to the start of your team's first match on Saturday, December 14 at the Cal North check-in tents.

      All players and team officials must be present at check-in for roll call.

      Only one check-in is required for the tournament on Saturday, December 14. Please check-in at least 30 minutes prior to your team's first game.

      Players arriving late must be on the team's official State Cup roster and can check in on their own ahead of their appearance in the tournament. These players must bring a copy of their approved Cal North player pass to the check-in tents.

      Playing format
      All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games. 

      Groups of 4 will play 3 group stage games with no final. 4 team groups will be decided by the highest points getter.

      Groups of 5 will play 4 group stage games with no final. 5 team groups will be decided by the highest points getter.

      Groups of 6 will play 3 group stage  2 games against their bracket of 3 teams and 1 cross-over match-up. There will be no semi-finals for groups of 6, rather the highest points getter from each 3 team bracket will face off in a final to decide the champion.

      U9 & U10 groups will play 7v7 format with 20 minute halves and 5 minute halftimes.

      U11 & U12 groups will play 9v9 format with 25 minute halves and 5 minute halftimes.

      Awards
      Awards will be issued to both the Champions and Finalists. Medals will be awarded to both the Champion and Finalists with the Champion being the only team to receive a team trophy. A special gift from PRIME will be given to the Champions.

      Upon completion of your final game, please ensure you check the standings to see where you finished in your group.

      Teams finishing 1st and 2nd upon the completion of their group will be required to immediately report to the stage for an awards ceremony.

      Parking
      Parking will be available and will be free of charge. 

      Restrooms
      Restrooms will be available at Mustang Soccer Complex.

      Prohibited Items
      No dogs or other animals will be allowed on the premises. No food or drink on the turf.

      Alcohol and weapons are strictly prohibited at this event. Any team found with either alcohol or weapons risks disqualification from the tournament altogether.

      2024-2025 Cal North State Cup

      Cal North State Cup is the designated state-level qualifier for the US Youth Soccer Far West Regionals and the first step on the road to the US Youth Soccer National Championships. State Cup champions will advance to Regionals which will take place in early summer with the chance to qualify for US Youth Soccer National Championship Series.
